In 2003, Ken Lawrence initiated ASK Lawrence Consulting utilizing his experience in the parenteral drug industry. Since that time, Ken has assisted various pharmaceutical companies in facility design, manufacturing, aseptic technique, validation, lyophilization, and personnel training. Additionally, he has provided guidance on compliance, SOPs/MBRs, audits, process optimization, equipment specification, and maintenance
For the previous 23 years, Ken worked for major pharmaceutical companies in which his responsibilities were continuously expanded. He began his career at Endo Labs as an R&D Technician. At Dupont Pharmaceuticals, he worked as a Research Chemist and was a Pilot Lab Supervisor at Adria.
In a series of successive promotions, Ken worked as Validation Manager, Manager of Operations, Director of Manufacturing Technology, Director of Operations, and Senior Director of Operations. These positions were held at a facility that was under constant expansion and changed ownership several times. The various owners included Adria, Pharmacia Upjohn, and Cardinal Health.
During his tenure at this facility, Ken’s accomplishments included leading successful validation efforts for the entire factory and expansion projects; optimizing numerous production processes, both liquid and lyophilization; providing conceptual design; selecting high tech production equipment; and implementing a training program for production technicians.
Ken’s vast hands-on experience, his validation expertise, and overall production management background provide him with a wide-based knowledge of all technical aspects of the sterile manufacturing process.
